Welcome to Lowedges Junior Academy

Lowedges Junior Academy is an excellent primary school, taking children from 3 years old to 11 years old, within the S8 area. We are part of Aston Community Education Trust (ACET), where we work very closely as a family of schools from across Rotherham, Sheffield and Derbyshire.

All staff at Lowedges Junior Academy work hard to ensure all of our pupils are identified as individuals, are valued and helped to achieve their personal best. Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn.

Each day starts with a story as we believe that reading is the key that opens up the rest of the curriculum. Our school offers so much to our children and the community: through our bespoke ambitious curriculum that is underpinned by our four key drivers: Love reading; Communicate effectively; Be aspirational and Be safe to ensure all of our children leave our school prepared for the next stage of their education; alongside our Personal Development curriculum, where we ensure that all of our children get to encounter a huge range of experiences; as well as an amazing inclusion team that offer support to all our children and their families.
