Lowedges Junior Academy are proud members of the Forge School Sport Partnership. Through these links twenty Y5 pupils have taken part in Play Leader training; instilling the skillset and confidence to lead semi-structured activities at break and lunch times.

Our Play Leaders are allocated one session every fortnight that enables them to inspire and motivate others to participate in physical activity in a fun and engaging way.

The Play Leaders can work towards bronze, silver and gold awards for the number of sessions they lead.

These pupil-led activities are developing a number of vital life skills in the process: cooperation, speaking and listening, leadership, organisation and commitment.
