Your child's spelling shed login will be stuck in their planner. Your child's class teacher will upload assignments weekly to be completed on spelling shed. Please practise your child's spellings with them at least 3 times a week, using the spelling shed website.
Spring 2 Spelling Rules
Week 1: Words where the digraph er is stressed e.g. herb, stern
Week 2: Words where the digraph er is unstressed e.g. brother, sister
Week 3: Words with the digraph ir and ur
Week 4: Words where the digraph oo makes an 'oo' sound
Week 5: Words where the digraph oo makes an 'u' sound
Times Tables
By the end of Y1, your child will have learnt their 2, 5 and 10 times table. Please encourage them to chant their times tables at home.
